I was contacted by a friend of a friend about this canoe. The story is that it was given to her father ,who was a bush pilot in Alaska after the war, by a tribal Chief. Maybe 50s or 60s would be the time of the gift but not necessarily when it was built. It was originally canvased but has been fiberglassed. Interesting construction from what little can be seen in these photos. She will try to get more detailed photos per my instructions. She would like to learn what she can about it to help her decide what to do with it. The canoe is in the Mendocino CA. Area.
My question is who would a good source for her to talk to and is there an expert in her neck of the woods who might be able to have a look at it.
