Congratulations! Did you talk about wooden canoes and what does he think about them?

Benson

Benson He was here to meet with the economist we where guiding. we the guides also had a great talk with him about preserving our landscape and traditional Guiding and sporting camp business. ( Help us stop the sprawl of industrial power plants " wind mills" on our horizon ) He is a hobby furniture builder so yes he exspresed a great interest in wood canoes.

It seems quite unlikely that he has become an environmentalist........he has been an open advocate for re-zoning millions of Northern Maine forest for industrial use.
You will recall the litter in Maine before the bottle law that he wants to drop.
He was opposed to facilitating fish spawn in Old Town.
It would not be surprising to see his administration permit more roads, boat and camping accesses in the Allagash and other fragile areas during his tenure.
Hopefully encounters with sportsman and guides will get his attention and help him to appreciate the balance that needs to be managed in Maine.
