Serial number search please. OT 133805 17 or 133605 17

Hello,
I am helping to restore an Old Town sponson canoe number 133805 17 or 133605 17 ( it is a little hard to read) and wanted to learn more about it. Currently it is an electric blue and white. Ribs and planking are pretty much in good shape. Unfortunately it was stored improperly and became somewhat water logged. But after scraping off the old varnish and chipping off the paint it seems to be drying nicely.

My guess is that you have the Old Town canoe with serial number 133805 since number 133605 is 16 feet long and doesn't have sponsons. The one with number 133805 is a 17 foot long, CS grade, HW (Heavy Water) model with open spruce gunwales, ash decks, ash trim, a keel, and sponsons. It was built between October, 1941 and February, 1942. The original exterior paint color was bright red. It shipped on May 4th, 1942 to Scranton, Penna. This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. Thank you very much for the quick reply and the solution to the serial number puzzle. This canoe has only travelled a short distance since it arrived at its original destination. Its construction spans Pearl Harbor.

We think it will come out very nicely once it has dried.
