S/N Hard to Read

Only able to some of the S/N, not sure if I have all of it.

S/N 8393 17

Like I said I may be missing some number just wondering if anyone could help out on this one.

The Old Town and Carleton canoes with serial number 8393 were assigned to 18 foot long canoes and the Kennebec with that one is 16 feet so those probably aren't yours. The some of the tricks described at http://forums.wcha.org/showthread.php?t=791 may help or simply post pictures of both stems and decks here.
