Hi,
New member here. I've just finished restoring my Grand dad's Old Town Sportboat (sn155330) and was wondering if you had any information on it such as a build record? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the WCHA, family boats always seem to be especially nice. The Old Town with serial number 155330 went on a 12 foot long, AA (or top) grade sport boat model with red western cedar planking, open mahogany gunwales, half ribs, and a keel. It was built between January and April, 1951. The original exterior paint color was dark green enamel. It shipped on April 19th, 1951 to Buffalo, New York. A scan of this build record can be found by following the link at the thumbnail image attached below.

This scan and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See http://www.wcha.org/wcha/ to learn more about the WCHA and http://store.wcha.org/WCHA-Membership-Renewal.html to renew.

It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your boat. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions. Congratulations on the restoration,

Benson
