Old Town - SN 186625

Curious about Wooden Canoes
Hi, could you please help identify old town SN 186625? Looking for the build sheet ideally! I believe this is a 1970's era 18' FG model (no thwarts, one piece molded deck). The HIN was not available but hoping it's possible to find info with just the SN.

The Old Town canoe with serial number 186625 is an 18 foot long FG (fiberglass) model with blue decks and a yellow hull that weighed 92 pounds. It was built in May, 1971 and shipped on May 17th, 1971 to Buffalo, New York. The back side indicates that there waas some shrinkage on the bottom. Scans showing both sides of this build record can be found below.

These scans and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will donate, join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See https://www.woodencanoe.org/about to learn more about the WCHA and https://www.woodencanoe.org/shop to donate or join.

It is possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match the canoe. The hull identification numbers were not required before November, 1972 so this canoe never had one. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.
