Old Town Sailing canoe

Hello all,

Well, this is my first time in the world of wood and canvas canoes...I have recently acquired an 16' Old Town Sailing canoe from a friend that is moving away. After doing some research it seems that refinishing this canoe is going to take more time then i thought. Hating to see it go to waste, I decided to post on this forum in hopes of finding it a new home. I have a decent idea of what its worth, but if someone had more information regard value i'd appreciate the info.

Looks to be in good restorable shape. Do you have the mast and other parts that make it a sailing canoe? Many canoes were built with the mast seat and step and never sailed, so unless you have the rest of the package, consider the canoe an Old Town HW (or whatever model it turns out to be) with a mast seat and step, and don't offer it for sail as a sailor unless you want this question over and over again.

Welcome to the WCHA Forums!
