Please, if there is info available for O T #183033 15 I would be delighted to see its record.

I know exactly where it is, where it's been & how it got its split rib... Built around '70 - '72. Initially shipped to dealer on MA north shore, probably. Memory fails.

Thanks, Bart

Hello Bart--

Your memory seems just fine...

Old Town 183033 is a 15 foot Featherweight model canoe, with a keel-- originally dark green-- that was completed in April of 1969 and shipped May 14, 1969, to Fernald's Marine in Newberry, MA. A copy of the scan of this record is attached below--- click for a larger image.

This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See http://www.wcha.org/wcha/ to learn more about the WCHA and http://www.wcha.org/join.php to join.

Thank you, Kathy,

The canoe, known in the family as "Nathanael", is still dark green - totally original except for a bit of recorcinol adhesive in one rib & touch-up varnish here & there. The dacron has held up far better than I expected.
