Curious about Wooden Canoes
Our Boy Scout council has two Thompson Brothers canoes that they would like to get professionally restored. We are north of Seattle so it would be nice to find someone that is local. Is there a list of people that will restore canoes that I can contact. The canoes look like they are in good shape, but I am not an expert.

I second jenshen.

I agree with pklonowski, these would make great scout projects. When the boats have been taken care of, getting them back on the water is mostly perspiration.

If you have some folks who would like to give it a try, NW Chapter is getting together up at Manning Park in BC Sept 13, 14, 15 and then again in the spring over by Shelton. We are full of advise ( some of it good ).
