Looking for info on A Jackson

Grandlaker

Builder & Restorer
All I know is its a 14' cedar rib and plank boat. I found A registration in it that says 1975 Jackson 14'
There is a serial # on the reg. 734978T000000 There is 2 of these boats at a camp here The original owner died and the new owners of the camp wants them gone. I'm sure i can find room for them here. I will get Pictures next time out.

The list at http://wcha.org/legacypages/maine-list.htm shows them as being active during the 1950s in Veazie, Maine. The page at http://www.veazie.net/public_documents/veazieme_gallery/page12 has a picture and some more details. The starboard stern should have a Hull Identification number if it was made after 1972. The page at http://www.boatsafe.com/nauticalknowhow/hin.html may help you interpret this number. I couldn't find a listing for them in the database at http://www.uscgboating.org/recalls/mic1.aspx so they may have stopped manufacturing by the 1970s. The web site at http://robertdenton.org/2011/prepping/ has some pictures of one. There isn't a lot of other information available so please share your findings here if you come across anything else. Thanks,

Benson

I have the 2 boats home. I can't find any numbers or markings on ether one of them. The state Registration says one is a 1975 and the other 1955 There both restorable. If anyone's interested i would part with one of them.
