Kirby's spraying

Curious about Wooden Canoes
Has any one tried spraying Kirby's paint to get nice even coats without brush stroke marks?

Any tricks to spraying/thinning Kirby's?

Thanks,
Fredthecat

I thin Kirby's by about 10% with Penetrol. I roll it on about a 2-3 foot section with a 4' foam roller, then tip it out with a 4" foam brush. The thinned paint holds a wet edge better and flows to reduce brush marks. I am considering changing my tipping brush to badger hair instead of the foam brush.

I spray Kirby's using a Turbinaire HVLP. I thin about 10% with a thinner from Interlux that was designed for spraying. (it is buried in the garage and I can't recall the name)

Thanks.
I have the Kirby's and Penetrol and spray equipment. Tried brushing with badger brush. Haven't tried foam roller/brush.

Obvious operator error involved.
