Help with canoe identification - Lib of Congress photo

They are Lake George Rowing skiffs, the one on the right a double-ender and the one on the left with a sweet wineglass transom. Both are strip-built. The skiff on the far side of the dock is lapstrake. I'm not familiar enough with the Lake George builders to know who might have built these. I have a photo showing some 17 livery skiffs on Lake George taken during the 1888 meet, they are not as nicely finished as the ones in this photo.

I love these super-hi-res scans of old photos - you can pick up a lot of detail.

Here is a picture of a Lake George Row boat I restored a few years ago.

I was built in Bolton Landing by F.R. Smith.

I've even posted a pic of the test paddle. I had not yet attached the bang plates front or back.

They are very nice boats.
