Dad's old canoe

Dad had a 16' CS (Commom Sense) grade Yankeemodel with open spruce rails, and a keel. Paint color was Bright Red. It was shipped to Minneapolis, MN in May 1949. A copy of the build record is attached.
Scans of approximately 210,000 records were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. That's really great info, thanks. When he had the restoration done, he chose to change the color to red (from sky blue) because "a canoe should be red". It's neat that it was returned to it's original color.
BTW, I didn't see the build record attached, was it in one of the links?
