Canoes available at Annual Assembly

A selection of fine canoes have been donated to the WCHA for our annual fundraising raffle & auction, 2PM, Saturday, July 15th (viewing available from Thursday).

These include;

2 - 1960s OT wood canvas canoes, 18ft. long deck, 15ft. short deck, donated by Joe Wilner (photos and build sheets)

Circa 1920 16 foot courting canoe (52 inch decks) restored by Norumbega Chapter (photo)

Circa 1930 all-wood Peterborough canoe donated by Sue & Brad Wyman (photo)

Native built (Eastern US tribe) birchbark canoe (nd), donated by Van Santvoord (3 photos)

Other project canoes available (as is); Willits, Peterborough and Old Town,
1950’s Old Town 50#, Adirondack Guide Boat, unknown builder/year.

Also, "Flying Canoe" sculpture (photo), by Chris Pearson.

The birch bark canoe donated by Van Sandvoord (ID'd as Tete de Boule style) was sold for $500.
