Canoe Serial #

Hi Everyone,
My name is Joe and I just bought a Old Town canoe with #175586 16 on it.
I also found a date on the skin under the stem brass band looks like 1-13-66.
The seller thought the canoe was a1986 year. I wll post pictues later.
The skin is removed and the wood looks to be in good shape. Is there a build record for it

The Old Town canoe with serial number 175586 is a 16 foot long Otca model with a keel. It was built between January and February, 1966. The original exterior paint color was red. It shipped on April 23rd, 1966 to Wakefield, Rhode Island. A scan of this build record can be found by following the link at the attached thumbnail image below.
