An offer to pick up and hold...

If anyone is interested in eBay project 180352891419, Denis and I aren't terribly far from Traverse City and could pick up and hold the canoe. I wrote the seller re double-checking the serial number... the canoe appears to match the build record (posted below, for all the world to see)... except there's no mention of the floor rack or of what appears to be a carry thwart (which seems an unusual thing on an Otca). Doesn't hurt to nudge a seller toward being certain of those numbers!

I have no interest in this canoe, other than possibly helping out another WCHAer... and connecting a canoe to its build record.

The scan of this record is attached below-- click on it to get a larger image. This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that all of yous (that was a Yooperism) will join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See http://www.wcha.org/wcha/ to learn more about the WCHA and http://www.wcha.org/join.php to renew.
