The Old Town canoe with serial number 170794 is a 17 foot long Otca(?) model with a keel and sponsons. It was built between January and May, 1961. The original exterior paint color was bright red with dark green. It shipped on June 5th, 1961 to Mays Landing, New Jersey. It was returned for credit on August 18th, 1964. A scan of this build record can be found below.
This scan and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well. Yes, the new shipping destination was usually noted on the back of the card but that was not scanned in this case. The example at https://forums.wcha.org/threads/canoe-serial-info.3994/#post-20444 shows one where it was.
