16' White restoration

Michigan Canoe Nut
Heres a few photos of the White restoration. I put a couple of splines in the stem splice to give a little more strength. I decided to keep the gunwales original and do a splice. As long as the splice is done correct, there is nothing wrong with doing it.

You go girl! almost had a heart attack thinking those are all replaced ribs till i zoomed in. those splices look great, and since they're under rail and gunwale caps anyways, no biggie. lots better than trying to hang a new rail. Chosen a colour yet?

White reconstruction

Chris,

Beautiful work! A well done repair to a rotten or broken part shows the real skill in joinery and craftsmanship. Often the easy way is just to rip it out and replace it.

Dave,
No, there is too much work left to have it at QWS, things will slow down after the hull is good, I need to replace the top and outer rail caps. Thanks for the compliments.
