Members of the WCHA are invited to attend the Annual Paddlers Rendezvous at Killbear Provincial Park, September 10-14.
This event is co-sponsered by Parry Sound Canoe Club, Lost in the Woods Boatworks, and Killbear Provincial Park, and features camping, paddling, sailing, and a general social gathering.
Killbear has made Granite Saddle Campground available for our exclusive use with access to multiple beaches facing west onto Georgian Bay.
The Park does not accept reservations for this event but I can assure you there is no problem gaining a campsite.

Killbear '09

One final plug for the Killbear Paddlers Rendezvous, this week and into the weekend. Our summer is finally here, with the best weather forecast we've had in months:

Come out to the Northern Lakes chapter's fall event and enjoy clean water, fantastic campgrounds with hot showers and lots of paddlers, all just 2.5 hours north of Toronto. :)

Best weather of the summer graced us for this event, and the park was full of paddlers of all interests. The Toronto outrigger canoe club showed with 3 man outrigger canoes over 40' in length and headed out into Georgian Bay, and offered a try to anyone interested. A great event, with some new faces amongst the familiar. Hope to lure more WCHA members including those from south of the border next year.

Drank some CRACKED CANOE beer and recycled a canoe for warmth; still a better fate than ending up as bookshelves.
