Wooden Canoes are in the Blood
In Memoriam
From June 2002 is posted as a pdf on this website. I'm interested in the Chesuncook Bound article.

http://www.wcha.org/wcj/v25_n3/chesuncook.pdf

I suspect the pdf of the article is missing page 9. Can someone assist here? I was trying to use the article for spring trip planning. I haven't been able to find my hard copy at home.

Many Thanks in Advance.

Fitz

Hi Fitz,

I've taken the Chesuncook trip with Alexandra and Garrett in July. It's a beautiful area. Finding the put in at Lobster Stream would be the tough part; the logging roads all look alike to me up there. Once in, though, it's a beautiful trip. The West Branch has beautiful sections, lots of wildlife to see, and not difficult to paddle at all. Chesuncook Lake is a long lake, and can get rough if you have a high wind. Luckily, the two times I've been on the lake, it was a tail wind. Good luck on your trip planning. If you do paddle the West Branch and Chesuncook, I think you'll enjoy it.
