Does anyone recognize the name "H Bussey" in relation to Gunderson canoes, or possibly another Wisconsin manufacturer? The one other clue I have to go on is the date "1946". My questions relate to a model reportedly discovered in Wisconsin.

This wonderful, extremely well made model is shown in photos below. The stem profile has attributes of a Canadian maker, possibly Wm. English. The decks are a bit more of a puzzle. The model is 32" long by about 6" wide. The name and date are carved into the middle thwart.

Your thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

    Thanks,
    Roger
