Just opening up a newly acquired 16' St. Lawrence Boat Works Whistlewing canoe. It has retained its shape rather well considering all the sister frames that have been installed. The sponsons appear to be original and are remarkably intact. They are much heavier than I would have thought. Mahogany decks, wales, coamings and thwarts. No numbers stamped in the heel of the stems, but the stems are also original.
