Two Old Towns

The build records for the Old Town canoe with number 117070 are shown at https://www.wcha.org/forums/index.php?threads/13127/ from a previous request. The one with serial number 20246 is an 18 foot long, AA (or top) grade, Charles River model with red western cedar planking, open mahogany gunwales, mahogany decks, mahogany thwarts, mahogany seats, half ribs, mahogany outside finish rails, and a keel. It was built between January and March, 1912 The original exterior paint was dark red with a name painted on the right bow and left stern. It shipped on March, 20th, 1912 to Minnesota. The back side of the record indicates that it may have moved to St. Paul by July of 1980 when there was a previous request for a copy of this information.
