LOVES Wooden Canoes
The Three Rivers Chapter will hold it's October Paddle, Picnic, and Annual Meeting on October 20th at the historic Sylvan Canoe Club in Verona, PA. Plan to bring your canoe(s) for show and/or paddle, and meet at 2:00 P.M. Those who wish will paddle up the Allegheny to Lock & Dam #3 and back if the weather cooperates. We will then enjoy dinner inside the club followed by a meeting to organize and plan for the next year. You are asked to bring a vegetable, salad, or desert to add to the meatloaf, potatoes, soft drinks and coffee provided by the chapter. A meeting at the Sylvan Canoe Club two years ago resulted in the official founding of our Three Rivers WCHA Chapter. Those who were there will not soon forget the excitement of finding so many others interested in wooden canoes, and the wonderful array of canoes we displayed on the lawn. We are most grateful to the folks at Sylvan for inviting us back.
