Three Rivers Beaver Trip

Eleven Three Rivers Chapter members enjoyed an outstanding day of paddling in six boats on Saturday, 9/22/07. We were welcomed into Herb and Kathy Adams' beautiful home overlooking the Ohio River with freshly baked muffins and coffee. We launched on the Ohio in bright sunshine and paddled down the Ohio into a fairly stiff headwind to Raccoon Creek which we explored as far as the water level would allow, and then back downwind to Beaver to end the day at a little restaurant with river-side outdoor dining complete with sand, Palm trees, and Caribbean music. We started the day with good food and good cheer, followed with a great five + hours on the water in convivial company, and closed with good food and good cheer. It is hard to imagine a better day! Our thanks to Herb and Kathy who planned, hosted, and led the way in their beautiful strip-build guide boat.
