An old design resurrected. I've posted about this project in the past. John Summers, curator at the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton, NY, took lines off a circa 1920 16-30 sailing canoe, and worked it up as a relatively easy to build plywood canoe. Proof is in the sailing - see the photos. Stormy Skyes is the first off the stocks, built by Dan Sutherland. That's yours truly captured by LOML returning to the dock after a sail across the bay on the St. Lawrence that the museum is located on. Concensus after shakedown cruises is that it's going to be a fun canoe for beginners and experts alike...

Now I'm going to need one of those fancy, gymbal mounted drool cups so I can keep my shirt clean.

What a mean standard has been set for a really cool sailing canoe.

Wow! Looks great. Dan Sutherland does some fine work. Makes my sailing canoe look like a scow. I could not find the information you said you posted. If you would let me know where it is that would be great. More info, more pictures?
