Curious about Wooden Canoes
Any history on this serial number?

FYI, after the last help, I took your advice and became a member. Well worth it.

Thanks for your help,

Steve Hayes

You will probably need more than just a serial number to identify this canoe. Penn Yan often used preceeding letters to indicate the model but they do not appear to have used "TO" according to the information at http://www.dragonflycanoe.com/id/ in the Wood Canoe Identification Guide. They did use TTO to identify their Swift model boats in the middle of the 1950s. It is also possible that you have the Old Town canoe with serial number 103554 16 that went on a 16 foot long Yankee model which shipped in 1930. Feel free to post any additional information or pictures about your canoe here or spend some time reviewing the information in the Identification Guide cited above.
