The Old Town canoe with serial number 100114 is a 17 foot long, CS (Common Sense or middle) grade, HW (heavy water) model with red western cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, oak decks, oak thwarts, oak seats, a keel, and outside stems. It was built between December, 1928 and May, 1929. The original exterior paint color was orange with the name "T-Ledge" on the right bow in blue. It shipped on June, 3rd, 1929 to Portland, Maine. The back side of this record shows that it came back for repairs in 1946 and 1948. It was repaired and repainted orange. Scans showing both sides of this build record can be found below.
These scans and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at
http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will donate, join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See
http://www.wcha.org/about-wcha to learn more about the WCHA and

It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your canoe. This is a canoe with quite a history and the seller has a copy of this build record. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.
