Can you help me figure out what model my canoe might be?
Nameplate has 101077, serial number on bow is XTC91977M77I

Please help!

Welcome, the Old Town canoe with serial number 191977 and hull identification number XTC91977M77I is an 16 foot long fiberglass Carleton model with no keel that weighed 80 pounds. It was built in November, 1972. The original exterior gelcoat color was dark green. It shipped on April 13th, 1977 to Monroe, New Hampshire. The back side of the record indicates that it was purchased on July 16th, 1977 and moved to White River Junction, Vermont. Scans showing both sides of this build record can be found below.

These scans and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will donate, join, or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See http://www.wcha.org/about-wcha to learn more about the WCHA and http://www.wcha.org/store/membership to join.

It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your canoe. More information about this canoe is available from http://www.wcha.org/store/complete-old-town-canoe-company-catalog-collection in the scanned catalogs from the 1970s. Can you supply a picture of the nameplate? Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions,

Benson

Benson,
Thank you so much for the reply. Here is a picture of the nameplate.
now i just got to find some parts. I need a new Thwart and to fix the fiberglass on the wall that the nameplate is on, it has disbonded from the hull. Is that an easy fix in your opinion?
