I've been thinking about starting up the Old Town build record database project again and was wondering if anyone else might want to help. This project has been dormant for many years and the page at http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ has more details. It occurred to me that most of my free time these days is in short segments when I am waiting for something. I could use these times for the Old Town database project if I had a way to easily review and enter this information from a smart phone or other hand held device. The web page at http://www.canoehullabaloo.com/images/test.htm is a very rough idea of how it might look. The two obvious questions are: 1) is anyone interested in helping set up the back end with PHP, CGI, ASP, or some other language to build the file and deliver new build record images to be reviewed, and 2) does anyone want to use a system like this to help with the project?
