Welcome and congratulations, the Old Town canoe with serial number 184313 is a 15 foot long lightweight model with a keel. It was built between November and December, 1969. The original exterior paint color was red and then it was repainted yellow just before it left the factory. It shipped on July, 2nd, 1970 to Rutland, Vermont. Repainting is usually part of the regular maintenance so color changes are not unusual. It seems to be in great shape. Enjoy,

Thanks, Benson. Yeah... we've got a few vintage Old Towns. Here's a photo of the 1937 16' Standard that I traded for the 15-footer that you identified (in the background). Loved the 16-footer but it was too heavy for my wife and I -- in our upper 60s -- to load on top of the car . So this lightweight 15-footer is better. I had the build sheet for the 16-footer and it left the factory in dark green -- was subsequently painted the same color as the 15-footer! Go figure.
