    NORTHWEST CHAPTER FALL MEET
Friday September 16 to Sunday September 18, 2005

This year we have a treat. We have been invited to Seattle's Center for Wooden Boats on Lake Union.
Under founder Dick Wagner's inspired leadership this living museum of classic small craft has gained national prominence.-
It has always been Dick's conviction that these craft are not just for viewing. They are in the water - and they are there to be used.
    Accomodation

More good news. Bring your tent or your R.V. and the camping is free right at the center. We can use the CWB parking lot (only) for RV's, and the magnificent Naval Reserve Armory Hall next door for the tents. NO, Homer you can't bang your tent pegs into the beautiful parquet flooring ....

No cooking is to be done in the Armory Hall, but the CWB kitchenette is available a few steps away. There are also several eateries within a block or two. You may consider pre-packaging your meals to simplify preparation.
    Access

CWB is located at 1010 Valley Street at the extreme south end of Lake Union, 5 minutes from downtown.
Approaching on Highway I-5 from North or South take Exit 167 (Mercer Street) and head westerly. At bottom of exit ramp turn right (North), then at the light in front of Daniel's Broiler turn left.

The Center for Wooden Boats will be on your right just past Daniel's Broiler. Park in the lot, walk down the ramp to the floating Boat House and register.
    Advance Registration

As our hosts at CWB have some space constraints they have asked us to provide them with some advance numbers. So, if you are coming please advise one of the following how many canoes and whether tent or RV.

    In BC Beth Arcand (250) 629-6763 paddlermaker@cablelan.com

    In Washington Rosella Herrman (253) 943-1199 momhefman@comcast.com

    In Oregon Martin Ferwerda (503) 622-6031 nwwoodencanoe@yahoo.com
