Hi I just received two canoes. One is a Peterborough Champlain High Ender the other I think is a prospector.

Could you help me identify it please

Serial # 82 728

It is 17' with a transom (well there use to be!) for a motor.

There are no known detailed serial number records for Chestnut. A recent effort to make sense out of some Chestnut serial numbers shown at http://www.wcha.org/forums/index.php?threads/16917/ may not have yielded much useful information. Sorry,

I am at work right now... I will take a picture when I get home.

It is on the back stem near by the transim if yhat help. I did think it was a chestnut too dk to wider ribs.

I will chwck out the link. This site has been a great help.
