Mystery canoe, would like your expertise

15' wood and canvas of uncertain make and model. Serial number on stem "15-50-1161".

It was given to me by my dad a couple of decades ago. It's been sitting in the rafters of my garage until we did a home renovation and converted the garage. Now I have no room for it, and am mostly trying to find it a good home with some who loves these beautiful things. But I'm also curious as to what it is, having spent my high school summers paddling wood and canvas canoes (Cherrys, if memory serves) at Camp Kapitachouane in Quebec.

Welcome, my guess is that you have a canoe from the White Canoe Company of Old Town, Maine that was built in 1950. The classifieds here at http://www.wcha.org/classifieds are usually one of the best ways to find a good new home for a canoe like this.
