I have an Old Town canoe #164023 on display in my gun shop for almost 15 years. I will be closing my shop and parting with it and would like to find out more about it.

Welcome and congratulations, the Old Town canoe with serial number 164023 is a 16 foot long, CS (common sense or middle) grade, Otca model with a keel. It was built between September and October, 1955. The original exterior paint color was bright red. It shipped on February 23rd, 1956 to Canandaigua, New York. This scan and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others.
