Keewaydin Canoe

I have rescued a Keewaydin Canoe from slow death in a back yard. However, I can't find anything about the canoe. The orginal owner thought the company was purchased by Coleman years ago. Anyone have any info on this canoe and its manufacturer?

Thanks.

Jeff

There is a camp on Lake Temagami, Ontario called Keewaydin. They have a fleet of around 100 wood canvas canoes and I believe most of them have been made by the Temagami Canoe Co. in Temagami. Is the name stamped in the canoe somewhere, or where did you come by the name ? I am pretty sure most of the canoes they have are 16 & 18 footers for tripping.

Hey, Pete, thanks for the reply. I have learned that the canoe was made by a company in Vermont from 1978 t0 1982. It is a composite canoe with the name, Keewaydin, on the side, much like a We-no-nah canoe.
