Info needed H.L. Bastion

    Barry Greene Curious about Wooden Canoes

    Hi I’ve been in touch with the Canadian canoe museum they have supplied the attached info suggesting that this could be a match for my canoe, due the the distinctive full length longitudinal batons. The museum don’t have a HL Bastien in their collection I was wondering if anyone has a similar canoe we could compare pictures or any information on the company such as additional brochures or adverts so I can confirm my canoes origins

    It won't help you id your canoe so much, but about the only history of H. L. Bastien I am aware of is in a booklet titled The Boat Builders of Hamilton (from the mid 1800s t0 present), which is available here: https://wmpub.ca/1012-boat.html
