Hi, I guide canoe trips and photograph in Algonquin Park in Ontario, Canada. As part of my business I owned 4 canoes, a Scott Elite, a Swift Winisk, a Souris River 17 foot Quetico and an Evergreen Prospector, none of which is a Heritage Canoe. Then my wife started poking around the internet and within two days we've bought a 16 foot Peterborough cedar and canvas boat and a 14 foot Ross Ellery stripper, made in Trout Creek , Ontario.

The Peterborough boat is a winter restoration project... the first challenge will be getting it into the basement... the second, the Ellery seems to be quite sea worthy and will probably be in the water tomorrow.
