Roger, missed you again. Really wanted to make it to the assembly but had to make my good friends batchelor party on Moosehead Lake! Looks like a fun time with the models. Next time for sure.

What a great Assembly!
Thanks again to all those who attended. We had over 425 registrations. The large number of members sure adds to the fun.

We had many first-time attendees this year - I think the estimate was 20% or about 90 members. I counted 250 canoes one day...so expect we had over 300 different canoes there throughout the 4 days. And most the canoes did get off the tops of the cars.

I didn't take many photos, but here are the few...mostly Thursday when weather was perfect and waters were calm. It was sunny, dry, and comfortable temps on Friday and Saturday...but too windy for fun paddling - unless your idea of fun includes a challenging wind. Lots to do on shore though, so no complaints!

Great to see the other photos. Thanks!

view from the mountain

For all that have wondered about the view from at the Rangers tower on Mt St Regis looks like. They said it was a 3.5 miles (or so) hike each way and was a highlight of this trip...I should have gone (instead of canning a seat with Ralph).

It was great to have my son Ian and his friends Spencer and Nathaniel (plus their dad Jerry) at Assembly this year.

Included a shot Ted Michel took - Thanks Ted. I like those burgees...and that 15' 50lb Old Town.

More pics

Here are a few that I took. If anyone took pictures of Leslie and I out in the wind with the sail canoe on Friday I would love to see them. Great assembly - a big thank you to all who planned and put it on.
