Great Rivers Chapter Paddle outing. May 1 Illinois river at Starved Rock State Park,Oglesby Illinois.Meet at the Lone Point Shelter At 10a.m. The paddling area is off the main channel of the river.A lunch cookout is planned at 1p.m.Brats and chips will be provided. Please bring your oun beverages and something to pass. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the park.Depending on the weather and participant's desires,we may paddle more after lunch. For those interested in camping, coordinator Bill Wallock will be at site 63 Friday and Saturday. To make site reservations call 815-667-4726. there is a $5 reservation fee and $25 per night camping fee. The park is about 50 miles southwest of Aurora/Naperville.
