Better late then never!
It's that time of year again. The Delaware Valley Chapter will be holding it's 9th annual Mini-Assembly on October 11th and 12th at Atsion, New Jersey.

The event will include activities by a number of our members. Possible projects range from replacing ribs, stems and planking, canvassing, and other repairs. Others that may be going on. Building a wood canvas canoe from scratch (this is an on-going project), paddle making, cane seat repair and "who knows what else?". We will have an old time campsite set up with lot's of dutch oven baking to taste (if you are there at the right time!).

If you have something that you would like to work on there, feel free to bring it along. If you are in need of advice (some actually good), or just another pair of hands, we will be there.

There is camping available if you would like to stay. A number of us have reserved sites at the campground and will be there both Friday and Saturday nights.

Of course, there is plenty of water to paddle if you are so inclined. Atsion Lake is a very pretty lake, and there are a number of Pine Barrens streams within 30 minutes of our site. The Wading, Oswego, Mullica and Batsto Rivers are all right there and terrific day paddles. Put-in for the lake is right at the demo area.

The event will be happening at the Atsion Lake Recreation Area in the Wharton State Forest in New Jersey in the heart of the Pine Barrens. The recreation area will be open from 10AM to 3PM each day, and we wil be there.

Atsion Lake Recreation Area in located east of Hammonton on Route 206 in Atsion, NJ. Picnic tables and restrooms are available right there.
