I'm coming up empty looking for any info on same. I've seen some beauties in documentaries, but never any info on the canoes. Any help? Thanks, Red

What sort of info are you seeking?

See, for instance; "The Canoe; A History of the Craft from Panama to the Arctic", by Roberts and Shackleton (1983)

Carlos Pedro Vairo The Yamana Canoe: The Marine Tradition of the Aborigines of Tierra del Fuego, 2007.

Humanity's Vessel; The Art and Ecology of the Canoe; http://www.humanitysvessel.com/

Indigenous Boats; Small Craft Outside the Western Tradition; http://indigenousboats.blogspot.ca/

There's also info on Caribbean (Grenada, St. Lucia, Isles des Saintes) canoes , in, "Clean, Sweet Wind; Sailing with the Last Boatmakers of the Caribbean", by Douglas C. Pyle. (1998)
