What company actually makes the canoe tacks here in the USA???

Yes I knew of the suppliers. I was just wondering who the company is who actually makes them. I would presume they are a special run production, but it would be interesting to know who??

Strawberry Banke makes copper clinch nails. Years ago I purchased some for a Peterborough restoration and the produced a wide variety of lengths and sizes. I believe they have a few vintage machines.

As far as I know, DB Gurney still does actually make the tacks. They are one of the few tack makers left out of quite a number of manufacturers here historically in Massachusetts.

In a recent phone call to Can Tack and Nail, they mentioned that some were coming in from India, but they were not happy with quality as sizes were all over the map in the same box. Not sure where they are comeing from now. And someone told me they will no longer be carrying some copper as there is just not enough demand for it anymore.
