Canoe seat

I just finished restoring Peterborough Mermaid as a solo boat for myself. I have a leather sling seat that I use now but it tends to funnel me towards the center of the canoe. I thought I would try a plank seat that I could adjust from flat to slanted, I prefer to kneel and lean back against a seat or thwart but I think this will be more comfortable, and when my knees give out I can easily switch to a level seat for a spell. Here is what I came up with.

That's a nice simple solution.
I recently made this for my stripper. The only problem I have with it is it is so comfortable I keep forgetting to move around to my seat to give my legs a stretch!
It is great in that no tools are required to move it around for example if you want to turn around in your boat in a tight spot.
