Paddled one I made at the Wooden Boat School under the tutelage of Steve Cayard. It is a wonderful experience!

Yes, my own that I made. But first I tried a member's home made canoe at the General Assembly several years ago.

They smell great, but they leak. And according to Arborist, Dr. Diana Beresford-Kroeger, birch and cedar are good for prevention of testicular cancer.

From the look on beavers face in the attachment snapshot, it leads me to believe perhaps splinters are the more immediate testicular problem!

Oh, by the way, no never have had the pleasure (of a birchbark canoe, that is).
