The bad news: I broke two ribs last week.

The good news: not ribs on either my Old Town or the Rushton.

The bad news: the ribs belonged to my tennis doubles partner.

The good news: he seems to be healing.

More good news: this really intimidates the other team when I'm at the net.

So, will there be new ribs bent? Or backside rib repair? Pain being what it is. And it is. The pain will subside in time. The memory of getting the broken ribs in the first place will linger on, and with it thoughts of getting even. You shouldn't paddle with this person for a while.
