I'm told this turned up recently at a small country auction in NY state, near the Catskills....... and sold for a mere handful of $$$. It's a 68" Kennebec Canoe Co. display model in heavily crackled but truly wonderful original paint, likely from the early 1920's.

It's always encouraging to know "things" are still "out there"!

Chris Pearson's exquisite work building model canoes discourages me from ever attempting to build a model. If I were to try to build one I would choose the Kennebec 68" with its gorgeous lines, especially the exaggerated up swept re-curve of the bow. I will just wait for Chris to add this model to his catalog.

    Roger,
Do you know who ended up with it?
