Anyone able to transport a canoe from Assembly?

Anyone able to bring an OTCA canoe in the general direction of TN from the Annual Assembly? Would love to get it within 8 hours or less of Nashville.

A: It MAY be possible, but never did before on wife's pick up truck roof.??
. Trying to get our room reservations today .?? ..Will be staying over about 10 days in Maine after event.
. Home port is North Chattanooga , TEnn, 37379
. What is the weight / lenght of this heirloom .? Will have to make some sort rear support. . Can we still travel normal 60 mph on expressway returning .?
