I have a wooden dinghy that I am trying to find history on. it's 10'2 long and 51" beam. It has a bronze? button inside the transom which has 1949 and in larger text 127 in it. The button is maybe 1 1/2" in dia. It is wood and canvas and similar in look to Old Town. Old Town has confirmed that it is not one of theirs. Another resource believes it to be a Penn Yan of New York. Any help would be appreciated. I'm trying to attach pics, we'll see.

Welcome, it will take more than this serial number and dimensions alone to identify your dinghy. If the 'button' is similar to the one shown below then it may be a Shell Lake. Please attach some pictures. Thanks,
