Curious about Wooden Canoes
Just finished milling for my outer stems and keel. Boards are 4/4 and 5/4 sawn which will finish to 3/4" amd 1". Boards are either 6" or 8" wide so 1 board should do in - and outwales, keel and stems. Runouts are not ideal but should be good for gunwales and stems/keel on canoes .
I am about 5 miles from Quakertown and members can get 1 board free, but will need to fetch it. I'm going fishing on Wednesday for a week so tomorrow would be best although they should still be good for a couple of days after I get back and then I will dry them.
